Techniques of Grief Therapy: Creative Practices for Counseling the Bereaved PDF

My students love this book as do interns and practitioners. The sheer diversity of techniques, all concise and with unusual clarity, offer innovative breakthrough approaches to working with challenging (but numerous) grief issues we all face as part of our life experience. Worth far more than the cost of the book.

Even if you not a pastor who actually does grief therapy, you need to read and understand this text. Very well researched and written by a very competent practitioner of grief therapy. So much of what pastors do in grief counseling and aiding parishioners in mourning is wrong and based on some material written over 50 years ago actually on the dying process rather than on the process following death. Sound material, should be required reading for all clergy and professionals in any area who deal with death and mourning.
