I bought this book for one of my Liberty classes and thoroughly enjoyed the layout of the book and the wealth of information provided. I took my Praxis certification test for school counseling and used this book as my primary study aid. I passed the test with flying colors and I had just started my second term of school counseling classes! Many of my questions were similar to the situations that she presents throughout her book. Plus, having the ASCA standards and ethical guidelines in the book proved invaluable for my test. It has been a great reference for my other classes as well. Fabulous study guide!! The author's humor lightens the study mood and information is presented clearly and succintly. The charts and lists are helpful and the case study and sample exam responses don't just give you the correct response, but describe why the response is correct and why others are not! This text is a great desk reference--not just a study guide.
